OPERATION:

The Puradon and optional pressure tank (sold separately) are installed after the wellpump and its pressure tank, and after any other softeners or filters.

The Puradon process removes over 90% of the radon from the water when the wellpump runs and when the Puradon pump recirculates water to the house and pressure tank.

Operating in response to demand from the house (typically one hour per day for a four person household) the pressure switch on the Puradon pressure tank turns the Puradon on when the pressure drops to 40 psig. The Puradon pump recirculates water to the house and the Puradon pressure tank until the pressure switch reaches 60 psig and turns off the Puradon.

Level switches open and close a solenoid valve on the Puradon inlet, allowing water from the wellpump pressure tank to flow into the Puradon and be treated.

In the unlikely event of an overflow, an overflow hose can be hooked up to a floor drain, washer discharge pipe, or directed outside (no higher than 10 feet above the floor).

Fresh air drawn into the inlet air filter is discharged out the vent hose along with the radon gas, to be vented outdoors. The vent hose serves this purpose if it can vent outside within 10 feet, otherwise it should vent into a 1 1/2" or larger vent stack within 10 feet.
